A 0.52 carat Fancy Intense Purple Pink diamond, cut into an Oval Modified Brilliant shape. An excellent example of a mixed purple and pink stone. The rich pinks and purples perfectly balance into a myriad of facets from pale shades near the tables center, to darker rich shades along the crown. At just over half a carat, this diamond is a great size to add to a collection, especially considering the rarity of finding a diamond of equal parts purple and pink.
If color diamonds are the rarest among diamonds, than pink diamonds are some of the rarest among color diamonds. Even small pinks are sought after; rarely do they appear at auction and private sales especially as a new stone entering the market. With the ever closer closing of the Argyle mine, which produces the majority of the worlds pink diamonds, an already difficult to come by color diamond will be extremely unlikely to be able to source. Wise collectors know this and go after pinks when and where they can, while they can.
